About the Project

Featured in House Beautiful, the Ivy House is more than just a showcase of our design philosophy—it’s our family’s home, and a heartfelt return to community after over 15 years of living out in the countryside near Madrid, New Mexico.

We created this space with family at the heart of every decision—a place to gather, grow, and celebrate everyday life. Nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in Santa Fe, the Ivy House is a true labor of love, a personal sanctuary where our signature aesthetic at French & French Interiors comes to life.

This territorial-style home is a playful, soulful blend of color, pattern, and texture. With the freedom to design for ourselves, we infused every corner with intention and joy—from hand-painted wall murals to folk-inspired textiles and eclectic vintage finds. The result is a deeply personal, maximalist space that honors tradition while embracing bold, uninhibited creativity.

Surrounded by the beauty of the high desert and grounded in the warmth of family, the Ivy House is not only where we live—it’s where our heart is.
