Set in Albuquerque’s historic Huning Castle neighborhood, New MAXico is a bold reimagining of a 1940s Mediterranean-style home. This project reflects a love for vibrant color, layered textures, and joyful, maximalist living—infused with the warmth and character of the Southwest.
The goal was to create a space that felt alive—one that invites gathering, music, and everyday celebration. From richly painted millwork to vintage lighting and custom wallpapers, every room was designed to inspire a sense of playful sophistication. The original architecture provided the perfect canvas for a mix of old and new: traditional elements paired with unexpected details, bold pattern play, and a sense of curated abundance.
