Tucked into the historic Don Gaspar neighborhood of Santa Fe, Casita del Sol is a colorful reflection of homecoming and heart. Designed for a young family returning to their Southwestern roots after years in New York City, the home embodies the joyful balance between modern energy and desert calm.
Our design honors the home’s 1940s character—arched doorways, millwork, and intimate proportions—while infusing every space with vibrant color and layered pattern. Botanical wallpapers, plum-painted trim, and playful textiles bring warmth and whimsy to each room, echoing the spirit of the high desert through a modern lens.
From the sunlit breakfast nook to the cozy, pattern-filled living room, every corner was designed to celebrate comfort, creativity, and connection. Thoughtful details—like hand-finished cabinetry, collected artwork, and locally crafted furnishings—anchor the design in a sense of place.
The result is a home that feels deeply personal and alive: a modern Santa Fe retreat that radiates color, craft, and the effortless joy of a life well-lived.
